This is a bug bear. I love this product but a frustration I have is that when working on collaborative projects, importing new files to a project is an absolute pain.

Is there a method to ask VGDB to rescan a project? much like the method used when creating a new project?

Be nice if we could do away with filters, and just go with the directory structure underneath – like standard VS projects?

    Hi,

Normal VC++ projects don’t automatically add files from the file system and VisualGDB is trying to follow that behavior.

We could add a command to rescan the files and update the project similarly to the Import Directory Recursive command. Would that be helpful?

    Absolutely that would help.

The issue is filters vs directories. Normally show all files lists everything in a project directory. You can then simply right click and include / exclude.

    Filters breaks this behaviour.

A rescanning command / method would therefore help heaps.

    Hi,

OK, we have added this to the v5.2 feature list.

Awesome. Thank you. Question though – eta on 5.2?

We would expect it around the end of summer.
